On one of those “Examiner” pages at www.examiner.com, a Mark Wachtler writes as follows:
“Already in this early campaign season, no less than two GOP state chairmen have resigned due to complaints of the legitimacy of their state’s caucuses. Those states included Iowa and Nevada where late-night shenanigans caused many to accuse Republican Party officials of attempting to steal the election for the establishment-backed candidate Mitt Romney.”
There’s only one problem with this claim. The Nevada caucuses were on February 5, 2012. Nevada GOP chair Amy Tarkanian announced her resignation on January 5, 2012. If she was resigning in reaction to problems with the caucuses, then she has a level of foresight that is truly remarkable.
